I have been laid of for 6 months now. I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Business Administration...so you'd think I'd have any easy time finding another gig. Not so. I have over 14 years of HR experience and have been a manager for the last 3 years (before my layoff) I have worked almost every job you can think of (Starbucks, Wal-Mart, Target, Civil Service, military, QVC, etc.) but I can't get a job. I must have business experience to work under my degree field and companies don't hire college grads without experience. So how in the world do you ever get hired unless you know someone? It's a catch 22. I have a negative view of why colleges exist... for profit! So eventually, a deeper depression has set in and losing weight is not at the top of my list. It's not as though I can eat much anyway, I am very limited to what I can eat due to this band. I haven't even brought up the constant vomiting yet. I'll save that for a later discussion.
